Grading:

• Homework: 40%
• Midterm Exam: 20%
• Final Exam: 30%
• Participation 10%
  

Homework: Homework is due on select Thursdays at 11:59pm. The preferred format is always electronic PDF files (unless otherwise specified) emailed to me at the address above. I will also accept hardcopy/handwritten assignments, but they must be in my hands before I leave Thursday evenings (typically 5pm). Please do not send other electronic formats (ie Word files or the like)....

Late Homework: If you need to turn in a homework late, come see me. You get one "free" late homework -- i.e., if you turn it within one week of it being due, I'll accept it w/out penalty. After you've used up your freebie, subsequent late homeworks get penalized as follows:

• 1-3 days late: 25% deduction
• 4-7 days late: 50% deduction
• more than 7 days late: not accepted
